Reston Runners Volunteer of the Month
We are proud to recognize Bill D'Agostino
image missing
Editor's Note: To protect his anonymity (and flex his funnybone), our
April Volunteer of the Month asked us to use this incognito photo of him.

Read about Bill's contributions to the club, which are many and varied. He does it all!

Please list the Reston Runners programs and/or events that you volunteer for.
I've marked courses and helped set up and clean up for the annual meetings. In the past, but not recently, I've done Gunga Din duty. I've also volunteered to help systematically welcome new runners to the club.

What do you like best about doing volunteer work for the club?
It feels good to be helpful.

Please tell us an unusual fact about yourself or talent that you have that few people know about.
To a different audience, I'd mention that I run marathons. To this audience, however, that's not going to get a lot of "ooohs" and "aaahs." I can't think of anything unusual. My many talents are still latent, so I don't know what they are yet.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be rich. I'm still thinking that might happen when I do grow up.

We Need You!
Want to pitch in and help out the club, too? Reston Runners offers a variety of programs and activities you can volunteer for:
Course Marking
Gungadins (Water support)
Finish Line Services
Youth in Motion program
Women's Training Program
Women's Distance Festival
Stats and Chats reporter

In addition, we can always use your help for the Fall Into Winter race, the annual summer picnic and pool party, the annual dinner meeting, W&OD trail cleanup days, crewing and other tasks for the JFK50 race, and the periodic blood drives the club sponsors.
