We are proud to recognize Mary Klaff

Mary and her youngest daughter, Lindsey

Read about Mary's contributions to the club and learn some fun facts about the woman who can be found running the Youth in Motion Program and attending bullfights.

Please list the Reston Runners programs and/or events that you volunteer for.
Youth in Motion Program, Summer Picnic, Annual Meeting, Fall Into Winter race, Women's Distance Festival, crewing for the JFK 50 race, and whatever tasks the RR Board of Directors needs me to do.

What do you like best about doing volunteer work for the club?
I have loved being involved with Reston Runners because there are so many terrific people who enrich the club and help bring all the activities and programs to our members. What an active, dynamic group we have!  I'm impressed by the level of commitment and enthusiasm people have for the club, and volunteering is a rewarding way to show support.

Please tell us an unusual fact about yourself or talent that you have that few people know about.
Unusual fact: When I'm in Spain, I really enjoy going to watch a bullfight. Talent? I would say not so much talent as "practiced hobby." Being able to run, bike, or swim long distances probably doesn't rate with this audience!

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was younger, I wanted to work in the travel industry and be sent to scout out new and fabulous places.

We Need You!
Want to pitch in and help out the club, too? Reston Runners offers a variety of programs and activities you can volunteer for:
Course Marking
Gungadins (Water support)
Finish Line Services
Youth in Motion program
Women's Training Program
Women's Distance Festival
Stats and Chats reporter

In addition, we can always use your help for the Fall Into Winter race, the annual summer picnic and pool party, the annual dinner meeting, W&OD trail cleanup days, crewing and other tasks for the JFK50 race, and the periodic blood drives the club sponsors.
